Loginov wins men’s pursuit, Invenius the best Finn

Alexander Loginov from Russia wrapped-up his IBU Cup Biathlon at Kontiolahti with a clear win in men’s 12,5 km pursuit. He finished 9,8 seconds ahead of Ondrej Moravec (CZE) who stepped up to second and Norway’s Håvard Gutubö Bogetveit finished third. From host nation there were two young athletes who qualified to pursuit. Tuukka Invenius finished 37th and Antti Repo 46th.

”Shooting was difficult, three misses were my own fault. I really like the course here, my skiing was good today”, said the winner.

Finland has several young athletes on good developing curve. For them IBU Cup gives valuable experience and opportunities to grow as an athlete. Tuukka Invenius was very happy about his experience, which was completed with 37th place in pursuit after 3 misses in shooting.

”Shooting was good today, I managed to control the conditions and my own performance. Skiing was hard today, but overall I am satisfied with my IBU Cup races here”, Invenius said.
